Citing example of Golden Era and much hyped rapid development under CPI-M regime locals have blocked road at Noabari of Amtali (Bodhjungnagar road) alleging for deprived of pure drinking water since 2 months. While agitating, locals alleged, "We are suffering from acute water crisis since 2 months as the water supply was fully stopped. Per month the local authority is taking money but since 2 months the water supply has been fully stopped here. Only rain water has survived us".

Local Children said, "During rain we had stocked drums with rain water and now using those but the stock has been ended. From where we will drink water ? It's not possible for us to drink purified water which costs Rs. 60".But when the agitators blocked the road, Party Secretary Subrata Roy rushed to the spot and threw the pitchers of the local women. Along with Subrata Roy police were standing at there.

"Every users are paying money per month for water. It's the duty of user committee to fix the problems and regular maintenance. If any big incident is held then only Govt will take care of it... when it costs  Rs. 50,000, Rs. 60,000. But even for the simple works like reparing of motor, the Secretary Tapan Chakraborty is giving various excuses".

Local women who were very much resented said, "Since 2 months we are not getting water. People are living by drinking rain water".

Party Secretary Subrata Roy also showed his mascular power with women and disrespectfully talked to them. However, the water crisis which could not be fixed since 2 months due to motor engine's problem, was promised to be finished by today.

Another local said, "They have said the problem will be solved by today and if not then we will block the road again".
